Tom Holladay, a teaching pastor at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., has learned well from his pastor, the renowned author Rick Warren. In a sense, the relationship of early Jesus begins where Warren is the purpose-Driven Life left. Warren himself says in the preface to this, when his book focuses on personal renewal, he writes, Holladay focuses on the logical next step: the renewal of relations.
Nothing is more important than relationships, Holladay in the first chapter, and no one was more of an expert on the relationship of Jesus. Drawing on the practices of the teachings of Jesus and the author structures his presentation of the statement of principles very similar FINI-Driven Life, with 40 chapters to read each day over 40 days and encourages readers to follow the plan daily reading, rather than to continue reading. Good luck with that.
The chapters in one day in support of one of the six principles that the book structure of relationships to the highest value on relationships, love as Jesus loves us, communicate with the heart, judging by how you will be judged and the recognition of employees as "the greatest" and treat others as we want to be treated.
The chapters are intended to be read slowly and thoughtfully. A sidebar in each chapter is a meditation on the basis of a significant portion of Scripture and a section at the end of each chapter highlights a "reflection", a verse from the Bible in relation to a matter of taking into examination and the chapter heading the following day. Readers may find it difficult to stay within a chapter a day, either because they are eager to discover what's next — or because they are the hope of discovering something new. Much of the material is important and very familiar to longtime readers of the Bible.
Still, Holladay makes important points that are often lost or forgotten. One of the best examples of a chapter on communication (we must wait until the 21st of this chapter if you choose not to read in advance). Holladay shows us how Jesus responded to the criticism (which he answered with clarity and confidence), doubt (which offered a test) ridiculous (say), entrapment (given the truth), and negative (moved to). More than a relationship of tension can be cured or improved following the example of Jesus "presented by the author.
Holladay writes in a casual, colloquial, with anecdotes of his life (and confessions that reveal his vulnerability and transparency) and the stories of the lives of others to illustrate his points. "As I tried to learn about the reports that the example of Jesus," Holladay writes in the introduction, "I felt a bit", said a university student in a middle school algebra, trigonometry class. I was over my head. Sometimes I have to admit that not even understand the questions, much less the answers. "This is a refreshing admission by a shepherd in what has become one of the most famous temples in the U.S., if not the world.
If your relationship with God — if you feel, other people — or suffering, this 40-day trip may be just the prescription must be followed. PRINCIPLES relationship of Jesus would also make a great Christmas present, especially if the recipient is a fan of FOR-Driven Life.

This is a great book you read all the congregation together. As my pastor has led us, it is excellent to read that our priorities Holladay report discusses throughout our church. We were able to grow and encourage each other with ideas and thoughts from the book and share stories of how to grow in our early relationship.
This is somewhat similar to The Purpose Driven Life, in the sense that reading a chapter a day, and are called to experience some of the ideas presented. But as the book title suggests, grow in our relationship with others, following the words of Christ himself. Holladay advocated many of the teachings of Jesus, and puts them in a format that we follow day by day.
Ideal for a single bed, and (in my opinion) best read as a group.
This book is AWESOME. It follows the format of 40 days of Purpose (Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren). And the coaches for the development of a more loving relationship that follow the principles of Jesus Christ.
Our church is doing a study on this group and the message and the results are very powerful.
